NCLEX Exam

No matter what you do, no matter how many times you screw up, and think to your self "there's no point to carry on", no matter how many people tell you that you can't do it - keep going. Don't quit because a month from now, you will be that much closer to your goal than you are now. Yesterday you said tomorrow.  Make today count. Congratulations to one of our clients who successfully passed her NCLEX-RN exam this month. She refused to quit.

Count Your Blessings

Count your blessings.  Name them one by one.  When you think life sucks, take a moment to remember that you are better off than a lot of people.  This also pertains to having your own business. The first year of a business starting up or expanding can be very frustrating. You need to keep things in perspective and simply be grateful for what you do have.  Eventually, the financial blessings will come.  In the meantime, be patient!

Stressful Clients

In March, Dr. Charles had two clients that were causing him unnecessary stress. They were disorganized and unprepared. Instead of them taking responsibility, they were  stressing  him out with last minute phone calls. One day, he had a panic attack. His blood pressure spiked, and he didn't feel well for a week. Every time, he had to deal with these two clients, he had the same feeling.  Dr. Charles decided right then and there that he would discontinue his business association with them. He lost income in the process, but his health was much more important!

New License

In February, Dr. Charles received his new Virginia nursing license.  This took a whole year to come through. Now the business was in a position to expand even further. The sky was the limit. We have to remember that in life "one door will close and another will open". We must not stare too long at the closed door, or we will become stuck.  Upon returning from Bermuda in 2014, he set a goal of setting up his own nursing school. The only thing stopping him was the nursing license.

Suite 404

The first month in Suite 404 was stressful but amazing at the same time.  We were busy setting up the space. Tables had to be assembled by screwing the legs on. The white board had to be hung. The office was still a work in progress by February 1st. We had a few clients that month.  They were impressed with how the business was unfolding. Our advice for entreprenuers in a similar nursing business is to stay positive and the clients will come.
