Learning Style Tips

Do you know your learning style? There are free assessments on the internet that you can do if you are not sure. If you are a visual learner, make flash cards with drawings.  If you are an auditory learner, record your lectures and yourself reading out loud so you can listen to it while studying.

Seek Help Early

In nursing school, class material often builds on prior material.  So if you do not understand a concept, you may find that it comes back to haunt you when you are learning more complex material. This is why it is crucial to seek our services early as it may save you time and money.  It is no fun having to repeat a class after failing it.

Going from RN to MD

A friend was asked the other day: Why nurses today don't want to further their education and become doctors. This was her response: "No, we don't want to be doctors.  And no, it's not because we're not smart enough. We love our profession and we wouldn't trade it for anything. The main reason is that doctors have too much responsibility and they treat too many patients." Would you go from RN to MD?  So many (including Dr. Charles) have done exactly that!

How Do You Recover?

You have taken the NCLEX exam more than 5 times, and each time you have failed. After the initial shock, stress hormones start flooding your body, bringing anxiety and sadness as well.
